EMR’s operate in a volunteer capacity.  They must live within our EMS district, or within a few miles of it, but outside the city limits.  They respond to calls from their homes within a 5 mile radius.  They provide a “first response” to our rural residents and give the responding ambulance valuable updates.  EMR’s are equipped with a pager, radio, and medical equipment.  Must be WI licensed as an EMR, EMT, or higher.  EMR’s have no on call or duty schedule requirements.  They respond as available.  Please contact our RF Station if interested.
