River Falls EMS provides Critical Care Paramedic level services for the residents in the City of River Falls and the UW-River Falls Campus, City of Prescott, & the Towns of Clifton, Oak Grove, & River Falls in Pierce County & the Towns of Pleasant Valley, Kinnickinnic, Troy, & Warren in St. Croix County.  We provide interfacility transports to six area hospitals, River Falls, Hudson, Baldwin, New Richmond, Amery, and Hastings, MN

River Falls EMS operates using 5 Paramedic ambulances, 3 Paramedic quick response vehicles, a Bobcat UTV, and a 20′ multiple response trailer.  We serve approximately 40,000 people. Our rural service area is 234 square miles..

Jeff Rixmann EMS Director, CC-Paramedic

Jeff joined River Falls EMS in November 1994. He served as Assistant Director from January 1996 to February 2000. Jeff was hired as the first full time Director for River Falls in February 2000. He replaced long time volunteer Director (and mentor), Mike Stuttgen.  Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, received the Outstanding EMS Administrator Award in 2008 from West Central RTAC, and has been President of the Tri-County EMS Association of Polk, St. Croix, and Pierce Counties of Western WI since January 2000.  He is involved in many local and county committees which all relate to community safety and outreach.

Jeff’s interests include spending time with family, hunting, fishing, coaching youth basketball, restoring antique tractors, and being involved in the community.
